The Schools of Katanga University

Katanga Methodist University houses four schools.

The School of Theology

Students in the School of Theology at Katanga Methodist University receive a Bachelor’s degree after 3 years and a Master’s after 5. There is also a PhD level program. The graduating class averages 10 theology students per year who become ordained UMC clergy. There are approximately 400 applicants per year of which only 15 are admitted. There are currently only 8 scholarships available for every 100 qualified candidates.


The School of Agriculture

The School of Agriculture is giving students the training in both the classroom and real world projects with the local community that will help them utilize the knowledge and techniques learned to increase agricultural productivity and living standards for their communities.

The School of IT

The School of Information Technology provides a curriculum in Network Engineering and is CISCO certified. The coursework gives the students the skills they need to find employment in the mining community.  


THE SCHOOL OF Education

The School of Education is a learning environment for future educators intending on teaching from elementary to middle school level.
